Remote Starter issues in Spec V
I'm installing a Black Widow Z5 Alarm/Remote Starter on my 2002 Sentra Spec V. I've pulled several wiring diagrams and have it mostly completed, but have ran into a slight snag. Since starting on the install, my parking lights have quit working, as well as the interior illumination. At first I thought it was a fuse, but when connecting the pulsing Parking Light wire from the Alarm to the White/Red wire at the Ignition harness, the interior illumination will light up perfectly with the alternate power source, but the parking lights wont flash. There is an alternative parking light wire at the DKP that I believe is Red/Blue, and when I connect the alarm's "Parking Light" wire to it, the illumination and parking lights flash (only in the rear, it's the nighttime running lights, which are apparently on the same circuit as the parking lights). Under any circumstance, however, the parking lights and interior illumination will not work by flipping the switch on.
I know that I'm going to run the Alarm wire to the hazards so that the parking lights will flash when I use the alarm, however I can't figure out why my parking lights and interior illumination aren't working. I suppose the switch is out, or possibly that power got cut somehow (since they will work fine when pulsed by the alarm with the wire connected, just not with the switch).
I know that wiring is very complicated, and a short is sometimes very difficult to find, but any help reguarding this issue would be greatly appreciated.
