Tein S.Tech or Tein H.Tech Springs?

I blew out my LF strut after hitting a pot hole (stock rim went with it, as did my tire) so I'm looking to redo my suspension all together. I'm not planning on coilovers as it is out of my price range. I will most likely be using KYB shocks either the GR-2s or AGXs, most likely the AGXs. In any case I'm contemplating on one of the two Tein springs offered, either the S.Tech or H.Tech. The thing that the H.Tech has me attracted to, is the approx. 1" drop (very minimal) which helps maintain a more stock look, but still offering a slightly lower stance. Question: does anyone know the spring rates of a Spec's stock springs? I've only heard good things about the S.Techs but at an approx 1.5" drop it may be a little much for the city roads of SF.

My goal is to improve the overall handling of my Spec without costing me a fortune. Thanx!

I hate to say this, but you really should read a few of the sticky posts, they're there for a reason. And well written if I might add.

Tein S Tech

I had the Tein S Techs with AGXs on my B14 and the drop was more than advertised, probably close to 2 inches in front, but only about 3/4" in back. The car looked pretty cool riding very nose-low, but the ride was horrible, with the front ka-boinging on any little bump. I put on some Hypercoils and they are much better -- not as low in front, but they don't bottom out like the S Techs did.

Thanks for the heads up. The last thing I want is to worry about bottoming out, too many chances of that in SF. I could probably do that just going up one of the many steep streets. I did notice that the Teins drop the front more so than the back. I guess I may opt for the H.Techs then. 0.9" in the front and 0.6" for the rear. After they settle I figure it'll be more like 1.1" and 0.9". Thanks again.
