I just got an '05 SER Spec-V, with the option Brembo front brake pakage. I am having some trouble finding aftermarket wheels that will fit. When I go on TireRack they only have 3 choices that will clear the brakes. I know that Nismo has some, but I really dont like their look. Is there some special offset I need to get or are my choices just limited. If you guys could recommend some different options that would be awesome. Thanks
you'll need 17"s or bigger, and a pretty good size offset, however I'm not sure of the # you need.

I just went through this whole thing about 4 months ago. I also have an '05 spec w/Brembo option. I tried calling Nissan direct and they would not give me any dimensions for the rim. And you are correct, TireRack does not have many options...in fact you are not going to find many options period. The best way I can advise you is to go to a local tire/wheel shop and have them tell you what will fit.
That is what I did, I when to a local "tires plus" and I told the guy I don't have a "money tree" so the wheels need to be somewhat low in price, but I want them to be lightweight and strong enough for autocrossing. He only found 5 wheels that he carried that would fit the car. Firestone did not have ANY.
After finding the style I liked at Tires Plus, I went home and found them at DiscountTire.com. The price online was cheaper and it included shipping and the lug adapter kit. I printed it out and took it back to the tires plus and talked to the guy and explained that I was not trying to rip him off, it's just that if I can get it online cheaper that is what I would do. After talking for a couple of minutes he decided to go ahead and match the price. He made it so the total, tax included, I paid him was the same/lower than the online price.
If you want to private message me your e-mail address, i can send you a picture of how they look on my car. I am more than willing to help, cause I know what kind of a pain this is.
Hope this helps.

Basically you needs rims with a 47mm offset, or get yourself some spacers
one thing i realized before i bought the spec was i knew i was going to have a hard time finding rims, so i figured im keeping the stock wheels for a very long time. Always good to research your car.

Luckly I think the '05 rims look pretty nice, but I was thinking of getting a second set of rims so I could have some autocross only tires. The stock rims are so expensive though. I am considering the rims that wazme posted.

also keep in mind that if you are planning on doing some autocrossing, rotational mass is a 15:1 ratio. that means that 1 pound of rotational weight is equal to 15 pounds of "dead" weight. the stock wheels are about 24 lbs while the sparco's are about 17 lbs. the less weight, the less power it will take to get the wheels spinning faster, and stopping distance will be somewhat shorter.
