Link on Shifting Technique

Since I read so much non-sense on the other thread about shifting, I'm posting a link I found to proper shifting. I also posted it over at the miata site I belong to since it had a lot of good information.

Please keep in mind that this write-up is by an owner of a Z3...that means it's a REAR wheel drive car. Sentras are FRONT wheel, as we all know, and so the sorts of balance upsets mentioned in the article are not achievable in the Sentra.

Enjoy.

Good iinfo on how the transmission works, and why your car acts the way it does. Long article though.

Brian's best advice for me, was how to get into reverse with out grinding.

The artical u linked is about his driving techique with his 1.8T BMW. I found the original post years ago. Still, his articial is a must read for anyone who wants to understand what's going on below the shift boot.

Always a good post for those want to know -- thanks.

Your post is completely unreadable due to a lack of punctuation. Seriously, please consider using some periods and commas so we can understand what it is you're trying to communicate.
