A/C-Cd player problem

My wife has a 2004 Nissan Sentra 1.8s. We were driving it yesterday with the a/c on as well as the cd player. All of a sudden the cd player display reads "cd error" and stops playing. After finally getting the cd to eject, I checked the disc and noticed a fair amount of water/condensation on the bottom of the disc. We turned the a/c off and put the disc back in and it played fine after that. Anybody had anything like this happen? Thanks.

maybe freon is leaking from the a/c and the vent is on top of the cd player, its possible the freon could have froze the plastic and broke it over time so it leaks all over the cd player...
that is scary, but anyways its just a guess... freon, if leaking, is very dangerous so lets hope not eheh

Take it to the dealer since it is still under warranty.

If you want to check the condensation coming out of the vents directly above the CD player theory, it should be fairly easy to do. Just open up the storage compartment right above the cd player, grab it and pull it strait twards you. Its super easy and it should expose the vents so you can see if there is any fluid there. I have noticed though, that when I use the A/C and then pull out my cd, its really cold.

That has happened to me once too. But it happened to me when i had the A/C on for a long time and then i opened all the windows. So i guessed that going from cold to warm caused the condensation. And as far as it being freon leaking, freon does not leak as a liquid, It is a Gas. And if it was leaking then the a/c would not be that cold.

It could be a clogged drain tube causing water to build up there.

I only noticed condensation on the way to north carolina from illinois 4 days ago when turning off the a/c after it was on for 6 or so hours. I turned off the a/c and let air blast through the vents for 5 minutes and it was gone. It was very humid outside, and since the vents were really cold, I wasnt suprised that they got a little wet. I did not notice any water in the storage console though.
