keyless remote

Just got a 1996 Sentra GXE 5 speed
my old 95 Sentra had a keyless remote system.
Do all GXE have keyless remote??
I looked under the dash and found the "smart
entrance" module so it is there. Is there a fuse
for this? I cannot get into programming mode
by getting in locking the doors, inserting the key
six times in 10 sec and turning the key to accessories
the lights do not flash confirming program mode any
help would be appreciated.
Thanx

well for my 96 gle i just turned the key from off to the full on position as manytimes as it took till the flashers went then hit the button and it should work unless your car just doesnt have it.

Hey Skoodles did you also insert the key 6 times in 10 seconds before turning the ignition to on and back? Ive been trying to program my 96 gle but nothing seems to work. I think it has something to do with the fact that the car was stolen before and the ignition was damaged and replaced. I dont know if that can be my problem. Any info you may have would be great.
