Has anyone removed the entire dash ??
If so, how hard was it ? time it took ?
Reason I ask, is that I wanna remove mine to paint it.
Whats things will I have to remove ??
Any tips in removing the dash ? as far as to not crack, bend something to far or break anything.....besides taking my time.
Thanx in advance.
Total PITA. You have to remove the passenger side airbag, which requires a T50H torx bit. Plus all of the other nuts and bolts. The worst part is getting it out as it fits SUPER snug.
You will think that you have everything removed and you fill find another bolt along the way.

In that case, forget it....LOL !
Like ive said in the past, im just a paint and body guy....I dont really have all the tools....friend does, but he's outta town.
So with that in mind...ill scrap that idea....
P.S. Coming along with the fiberglass bench subs.....ill post some pics as soon as I buy a new camera....friend droped it when trying to take photos of his acura ( guess it saw the ugliness in that thing ).
P.S.S. I'm using "industrial" velcro to secure the box to the bench, this way itll stay put driving around, and I can pull it at any time and stick the bench back in for extra passengers...plus I dont want something like that in the open all the time...someone might get a bright idea of trying to rip me off or something.
I've removed a few before. If you have a somewhat complete set of tools plus the T50H, you could prolly get it out in an hour or 2.
You have to remove the A pillars, kick panels, knee panel and glove box, entire center console, seats (recommended), instrument cluster, radio, all buttons, HVAC must be unbolted, pass. airbag removed, and the 2 covering tabs closest to the windshield. Removing the steering wheel might make it easier, but is not necessary.
Anyway, I would not paint the dash anyhow, it'll definately chip, crack, or just look terrible, I can gurantee that. For any chance of it holding up and looking halfway decient, you need an enamel or whatever the pros use to make their dashes look glossy, etc.
lemme put it another way, I removed 3 dashes total that I can recall, 2 of them were totaled at the time and I was salvaging the dash. In other words, I pretty much ripped everything off since I had very little concern for the other parts surrounding it.

yea, looked it up some more....and im scraping the idea....thanx for the extra input though, helps me put it to rest, and not think about it at night on how it could look, or trying to look on the brighter side, which I tend to do.
