Hi everyone-

Well I have a big problem on my hands well I own a 97 sentra gxe and last week my a/c just crapped out on me. After getting home I looked at the fuse and found that the a/c compressor fuse (7.5) had been shorted. I switched it out and then I thought I had the problem fixed but as it turned out when I hit the a/c switch on the instrument panel and turn on the fan control the a/c compressor fuse blows out every time. Any clues what might be going on? I thought maybe it was the clutch to the a/c compressor itself so I went to the junk and pulled one out. After installing that one, the same thing happens the fuse blows when I hit the a/c switch and fan control. I'm not sure if this is going to be of any significant but I observed that the compessor clutch kicks on but only does a 1/2 turn before the a/c compressor fuse goes out.

Any help or suggestions would help greatly because here in sacramento its like reaching triple digits all this week.

You have a probably have a short somewhere related to the AC compressor. I would check all wiring and grounds to make sure everything is good.
