E-brake light coming on while driving.

I got my car serviced a couple weeks ago, and ever since then, the e-brake light comes on while I'm driving sometimes. I noticed that it usually comes on if I floor or get close to flooring the gas.

Any ideas why this is happening? Its not causing any problems, its just annoying. I know its because of something the service guys did but I don't know what.

Check your brake fluid... Sounds like it's low.

After doing some reading, yeah it sounds as if that's the problem. But its too dark right now to go check. If it is low when I look, how high should it be filled? Topped off or not?

Absolute crap service. Hasn't been a problem before, but this time was really bad. I did have a few other problems also I had to fix myself afterwards. Time to start taking it Nissan.

Ok, I just checked the brake fluid. Its exactly halfway between MIN and MAX. There's like a protruding line of plastic on the middle of the container...looks like 2 halves. And that's where the fluid's leveled at. Is that too low?

if filling it up to max doesn't do it. It might be the alternator. The sign for a bad alternator is the batt light + brake light going off at the same time. maybe the batt bulb is burnt out.

also check for any leaks in brake fluid reservoir sometimes mechanics dont give a crap
and mess things up

just to be safe do a visual check up after refilling the reservoir

and also as the other guy said check alternator too
