radiator fans on a switch?

I have heard of people putting the cooling fans on a switch, so that they can turn the fans on and off at will. I was wondering how much would it affect the performance of a car, especially in the 1/4 mile?

OK man third post about how something uesless will affect your 1/4 times. I have one thing to say. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS SNAKE OIL. If you want to improve yoru cars 1.4 times spend some $ on parts that are dyno proven to make HP and work on your driving skills. Otherwise stop wasting your time searching for somethign that doesn't exist.... free power.

That's actually funny... You could advance the timing to 15 BTDC for a higher compression I'm sure you'll feel the difference then buy that $2.99 octane booster and throw it in the gas tank.

haha, this comment coming from a guy who lives and dies by octane booster and thinks hes gonna gain some power out of a 2$ bottle.haha, how do u figure advancing the timing changes compression?..that was some of the lamest advice ive ever heard. why spend 2-3$ on a bottle of octane booster when if u spend 20cents more at the gas pump for premium octane u get the same results.
