where is the blower resistor located...

The heater in my 96 200sx se-r doesn't work on 1 position. As far as I know it's the fault of not working blower resistor.
Could you tell me where is it located??? and how does it look like?

You can always download the FSM from the sticky thread in this forum. It has all of the wiring diagrams for our cars.

yea, the glove box is held on by 6 phillips screws, take the glove box out of the car. Behind it is a big black cylindrical blower unit, the resistor is right on there.

its actually not behind the glove compartment. what your looking for is on the firewall side of the passenger compartment footwell. The resistor is held in place by a couple of screws and looks like a small circuit board when removed

hi, if you can locate the blower, you will find the resistor pack.
The resistor pack is held by two screws.
The reason that part of it is inside the blower ,so the blower can cool the resistor pack, but some times the cooling may not be enough to cool the resistor and the resistor burns open.
The resistor works the most when low speed is selected.
