Auto to manual swap

If anybody completed a auto to manual swap i would like to know how much it cost and like who did the labor all the pocketbook details. cause i hate automatics but it was given to me so hey work with what u got.

I alos heard that gear ratios can be changed in an automatic to help improve the low end. Is that true and has anybody done it

Why would you want to do that? It will cost you a lot more than if you just sell your car and get the same one with a manual tranny. I wanted to do a tranny swap, but decided, big waste of cash.

its called a torque converter and/or stall converter.

What if you were to buy say a new motor like go from a GA16DE to an SR20 that comes with a manual tranny?

if the car was auto before..then it still would still have to install the clutch and stuff.

at least mostly those who have been here for less than a day lol....they should just make the search button HUGE and covers half their screen for like the first week until they understand that they need to do searches before they ask dumb questions.
