ok.. ive got a 200sx with a 1.6.. i want to do the big swap-a-roo to a sr20. the problem is all the motors on ebay i've looked at say "ENGINE WILL FIT 1991 TO 1994 NISSAN SENTRA SER,NX AND ". so whats the deal. is that motor still a direct swap for my 96?

No. The 1991 to 1994 (B13) engine uses OBD-I engine management, and the 1995-1999 (B14) engine uses OBD-II. This makes it a difficult swap because the ECU and harness must be swapped, too. There are also problems with the gauges since some of them are driven by the ECU.

I'm doing this same swap right now I am replacing the entire harness with a 93 se-r harness and all the other parts I need the car will be obd1 when its done I have pics check em out and soon I should have it done if you need and help I would be happy to talk you around any problem that pops up.
