I have justo bought my Nissan Sentra GXE 1996 yesterday (after reading tons of reviews about this particular vehicle), so far I am pretty happy with it ! but unfortunatelly I do not have the owner manual... where can I get one ? I also would love some information regarding Oils and filters... what is the recomended brands to this vehicle ? (Motor Oil, Transmission Oil, and Filter) . My car (believe it or not) has only 78.000 Mileage ! thank in advance !

Go to the junkyard and look in the cars there. Usually you can find one in the glovebox of one of the cars.

Check Ebay. Many times you can find an original owner's manual, a Chilton or Haynes manual or the Nissan Factory Service Manual. If nothing else you can go to a local Pep Boys or AutoZone to get a Chilton or Haynes type manual.

I have found the manual at ebay for $ 8.00 including S& H. Regarding the maintenance, I am using Mobil 1 as a Oil and Pure 1 (oil filter, the best one).

I have posted this in another part of the forum, but still a good information :

I have bought the Mobil 1 at Pep Boys, they have a coupon inside their 2005 calendar that gives you 1 quarter of Mobil one oil for each one you buy, or you buy one and get one free... this oil cost normally around $ 5 you get for only 2.5... and the calender is only $ 1.00 , also they have good discounts in other parts too, I bought the oil filter with a dollar off.

its the Service manual, it tells you how to fix things as well when to change oil ..and stuff.
