Okay i tried to get the paint shop to paint the chrome window trim around the side windows but they dont want to do it cuase theyt cant get the tape to the rubber. I want to remove these and either replace or paint and replace these. How in the HELL do you do it , i have read other threads and there was no definite answer on what they are held on by or anything? If anyone has any clue on these let me know?

You can go down to your local auto glass shop and maybe they will be nice enough to tell you, or even better pay them to do it, and if they break it, they will ahve to replace it, not you.
