Emergency Lights on/off

My brake and battery light came on today when I started my car. After about a minute, they went off, and never came on again. This has happened once before (like a month ago). I know it means there's something wrong with my alternator if they stay on, but I'm not sure what's going if it's only come on twice, and for a few seconds.

All my cluster lights (brake, battery, air bag,etc...) come on when I first start the car but then they dissappear, I think is normal but correct me if Im wrong

Yes, but this particular time, all of the lights came on and went back off, except the brake/battery lights. Those stayed on for a minute instead of going off with the other ones.

Weird, no more suggestion though

Your alternator is on its last legs. Have it tested at an auto parts place, though (it's free). It's possible the connections are bad.

Thoroughly inspect the rib side of your belt(s) for any cracking.
If present, time for a belt change. If not try tightening the belt
a hair, may be that the belt is slightly loose.
Also!!!! (if applicable) Check the water level in your battery!

It's likely your alternator. Better check it out before you get stranded.
Mine did the same thing when it died. I got lucky, only miles from home after some 300mile road trip. Coasted in on battery power only
