I have some Dunlop SP 2000? 205/55/15 on se-r wheels (maybe 15% tread left lol) but this morning is was range pretty heavy and my car was hydro planing like a freaking hover craft so bad i had to track a 16 wheeler just to stay in the "dry" patches he left! needless to say I am putting my 14's on tonight, but through all of that mayhem my car felt like it was hauling a boat! To get up to speed or going up a hill I had to completely floor it so the car wouldn’t come to a dead halt. Now I am 99% sure this is just because the water had no way of getting out from under my tires but do you think it could be anything else? (I have had these tires for about 3 months now but I guess it has never rained quite that hard since now!)
I got a wild hair up my a$$ from another thread about injectors (in the SR section) and a person said they clean out their injectors and the car feels outstanding now and suggestions? I know that has never been done to my car, and my dad put some injector cleaner in the tank when he had the car so im thinking maybe the sludge from the tank may have clogged up an injector or what not...meh?
jus get some new tires. My potenzas don't hydroplane one bit, the only thing I'm afraid of in the rain is sucking water into my CAI.
well i got my wheels from wickedsr20 (awsome wheels and tires in the dry! lol) but when i got them from him they had maybe 20/25% tread left. but i got them for 250 all for wheels and tires so it was a good deal. and i plan on puting my old wheels on for the winter so they lasted me just long enuff

I bought BF Goodrich Traction T/A's from tirerack.com for $59 a piece plus shipping. Great tires. Excellent in wet and dry. Have yet to try snow but they are rated by tirerack as excellent in snow so should be good. According to the feedback left for these tires on tirerack everyone loves em. Just making a recommendation.
I have a monkey that continues the post whoring through out the night. His next stop is Pete's house where i taught him how to judo chop cracka ass thugs
i found out why my car felt like a slug....when i tightend my throtle cable a few months ago i guess i didnt wedge the retainer bolt down tight enuff and it vibrated lose.......all the way lose, so the most amount of slack humanly possible for there to be and that is the reason my foot was floord and i didnt go anywere
I have the Ziex's too and they have been seeming to work very well in rain and in snow. I laughed when all of the rear wheel drives couldn't get up the hill in front of me because it had started snowing out really badly, and even some FWD's...then as soon as the police made them get out of the way I just floored it up the hill no problem.
I have Ziex's too, love em in the rain. Standing water is no match for these tires. They give you way more confidence in poor driving conditions.
I just hope they stay like this for the life of the tire.
