HEADLIGHT AND FAN CONTROL PROBLEM

Hey does anyone have any idea whats wrong.

1. I turned my headlights on right after i got in my car today today and it came on for 2 seconds and then it just shut off. Later onm i tried turning it off and on hoping it would come back but it didnt. I checked the fuse box in the car but i found nothing wrong or blown in it. Does anyone have a clue?

2. On the fan speed control for the ac and heat, 1,2 and 3, speed doesnt seem to have any affect (meaning no air is coming out). But when i have it on 4 it comes out strong. Also the control that controls where the the air flow comes out (Right One) is not allowing me turn all the way to the left and it seems like something is stuck. Everytime i turn it to the left from the first setting it makes a pop noise. Does anyone know what is wrong with my car or have a clue?

Please give me some clues
I have to save money by fixing these problems by myself (hopefully atleast)
=T

2. You need to go to your Nissan dealer and purchase a new blower motor resistor (~$20 or less). Parts stores will not likely have them and junkyard resistors are likely to be blown too (common Sentra problem). It's an easy fix, the resistor is under the dash on the passenger side and 2 screws and a plug are all that are required to be removed.

1. get a multimeter and check the voltage to the terminals on the headlights.....see if there is any current going there. the problem can be very hard to determine, seeing as how its an electrical issue.

2. FCS is right. its the blower motor resistor. easy to replace and pretty cheap part.
