I just bought me a B&M short throw shifter... good or bad?? and I need to know how to install it... is it pretty much the same as the SMC for the project car???

B&M is a good shifter. And yes, the install should be just the same as the SMC.

Don't worry about the install. It comes with excellent instructions. I have never done any work on my car before but I got mine(B&W shifter) in without a single hitch by following the instructions to the letter.
