starting problems help
I have a 1997 sentra gxe (ga16de) I am having problems with my car starting. i rcently took apart the ignition switch because a key was brken in it, and after i got everything back together my car wont start right. It will start for a couple of seconds and run good, then it will die. is this possibly some kind of antitheft device or something? HELP PLEASE I WANT TO GET BACK HOME FOR THANKSGIVING.

pretty much just open your head and have someone stand there and when you try to start it have them listen for any hissing...but that only works if it is a big leak
I would start by double checking your wiring in your sterring colum since you took that apart and it worked before

also when you try to start it does it even attempt to turn over or is it silent?
nevermind reread your post
check the wires to see if somethings comes loose from the vibrations of the car
I still think it might be a wiring prob

are you sure it's not a wiring?? maybe a grounded wire or something.. kinda sound like accessory wires are loose.. or more importantly the fuse for the ecm.. but check and double check the wires inside you dash.. i know it's a pain to do that but it's the only thing i can think of other than you ecm...
