I really need some diagnostic help. First off, I had my knock sensor replaced with used one while trying to pass smog, and it seems that since then, my motor has been quite loud. There is definite pinging going on that wasn't there before. Is there a chance that my knock sensor wasn't bad, but the used one that was put in there is? I'm assuming my timing is thrown off maybe? My idle has gotten REALLY bad since then as well AND I'm getting a bad hesitation on occasions while giving it gas while driving on the freeway.
My biggest concern is bad rods, as I am in no position to afford another motor and am hoping I can correct this problem before something breaks.
