I inflated my tires to 44 psi, cuz the tire says "44 PSI max"... I told my dad and he flipped out and told me that i over inflated them...well i havnt disinflated them yet.. so i wanted to ask here first if i am right or wrong... I have a 1998 Sentra GXE with stock rims/hubs... let me know if i need to put them down a bit.. thanks
Open the driver's door. There is a tag near the latch which contains, among other things, the recommended tire pressure.

yea i remembered about that sticker on the door after posting this... anyways it says rear 33, front 29... but when i did have it at that, my steering wheel would vibrate ALOT... after inflating, it hardly shakes...
it only vibrates more when braking hard from going like 50+mph... i donno what it is...any clue??

It could be warped rotor(s) and/or unbalanced wheel(s).
You can leave the leave pressure high and wear out the centers of the tire treads, or fix the problem. Your choice.

ok..so leaving the pressure high will not be unsafe.. i dont want to be driving my girl home one night and BOOM goes my tire... well at least ill die a happy man...with both my loved ones..car and girl...
no if u leave it high and it rains you and your girlwill be doin 360's on the road cuz your tire patch wil be no bogger than a bike wheel deflate them to the recomended psi. nissan has put that sticker there so your tires are perfect for the vehicles weight and so on like lew said unless you have something againts the tread on the middle of the tire there is aboslutly no reason to be doing this. just get them ballenced. also handling goes to hell like that its like a round brick with a little rubber on it its not gona stick

LMAO its raining down here in Miami and i went out to test them... i accelerated on a curve and it just kept sliding left instead of griping... i almost lost control... it was a blast though... lol thanks for the input i will deflate them asap!! lol :dumbass:
allright...i disinflated them down to 33 PSI all around... riding smoother then before.. no vibration while driving.. only the same vibration when braking, maybe even less... Thanks guys.. you prolly saved my life.. wut would we do without NissanForums.com? *smiles and tooth shines pearly white* *ding*
