Question Nissan GXE tire PSI

I inflated my tires to 44 psi, cuz the tire says "44 PSI max"... I told my dad and he flipped out and told me that i over inflated them...well i havnt disinflated them yet.. so i wanted to ask here first if i am right or wrong... I have a 1998 Sentra GXE with stock rims/hubs... let me know if i need to put them down a bit.. thanks

Open the driver's door. There is a tag near the latch which contains, among other things, the recommended tire pressure.

yea i remembered about that sticker on the door after posting this... anyways it says rear 33, front 29... but when i did have it at that, my steering wheel would vibrate ALOT... after inflating, it hardly shakes...

it only vibrates more when braking hard from going like 50+mph... i donno what it is...any clue??

It could be warped rotor(s) and/or unbalanced wheel(s).

You can leave the leave pressure high and wear out the centers of the tire treads, or fix the problem. Your choice.

no if u leave it high and it rains you and your girlwill be doin 360's on the road cuz your tire patch wil be no bogger than a bike wheel deflate them to the recomended psi. nissan has put that sticker there so your tires are perfect for the vehicles weight and so on like lew said unless you have something againts the tread on the middle of the tire there is aboslutly no reason to be doing this. just get them ballenced. also handling goes to hell like that its like a round brick with a little rubber on it its not gona stick
