After HS CAI, won't stay running. HELP!

I finally got my HS CAI installed today. I'm still having trouble getting the lowest sensor installed into the piping (the grommet and hole are too small for the sensor and I had to lengthen the sensor wires). Now when I start the car it will go to 1500 then drop immediately to 1000 and then die. It runs for about 3 or 4 seconds then just dies. It's similar to if there was no gas getting to it. All I've done is put the CAI on. PLEASE give any help you can.

did you check your maf? you could have it on backwards (this happened to a friend on his spec). there is a little arrow on it that should point in the direction of the flow. my car seems to run fine with out the ambient temp sensor.

Thanks. That was exactly it. I feel like an idiot, but at least the car works. Thanks again.

The IAT sensor is not used to control the engine, it is used for diagnostic purposes, so dsconnecting it will not affect the way the engine runs. However, it will trip a MIL light if it s disconnected.

I got all of the sensors plugged back in and everything is running. I love the sound it makes. There's a nice growl in 2nd. I have to punch it pretty good to get the full sound. Intially, I don't feel much difference in the power. I am getting an engine light and need to reset the ECU. Perhaps I'll feel a little more after that? I know I can't expect anything amazing from a CAI, but I thought I'd feel something. Perhaps I'll notice more tomorrow after I drive it around a bit more. Thanks for your help.

You arent going to feel much until you open up your exhaust, I.E. cat back, or header.

Yeah, hopefully around Christmas time I'll be able to look into a HS header and some type of cat-back. I'm thinking I may invest in Tein coilovers first. We'll see.
