Can anyone tell me the voltage for the cigarette lighter on the Ga16? I think its 12 volts, I was just wondering. I also wanted to know if that source is usable for guages and stuff so the wiring wouldnt have to be run all the way to the battery . Just something I was pondering in the garage tonight. Thanks

Yes, it's 12v, and no, I have no idea about wiring gauges into it... better, IMHO, to just add the extra wiring than to tear up the stock wiring in the car.

The cigarette lighter is a good source for add-on accessories since it has a 15 amp fuse. However, if you need a source for gauge illumination, it is best to use the dimmer switch for the dash. That way the gauge illumination is turned on with the dash lights, and is dimmed with them.
