Hello Everyone, I recently purchased a 1995 200SX SE (5 Speed manual). I brought it home and the next morning the vehicle wouldn't start. I took the starter (Which was new) out and took it to the tester machine and it worked just fine. I then bought a new battery and put that in, but still nothing. I then check the voltage on the battery and it was about 12.5, jumped the car and tested the battery again and it read 14.4 eliminating the alternator. I also tested the voltage to the main fuse box in the engine as well as the selinoid and they tested just fine. I also went as far as to take the battery out of my Tacoma pick-up and put it in the car and that made no difference so I know it is not the battery. I also have a Haynes manual and looked up all the possible checks for an engine not starting. Basically, when you turn the key, you might get lights on the dashboard for a second, but then when you turn the key to start the engine you get nothing, No clicks, no nothing. I think I have it narrowed down to the ignition switch, but is there any other checks that you can do to ensure that it is the ignition switch before I purchase one and attempt to install it. I just don't understand why the engine turns over fine when you jump it. I appreciate any/all help or recommendations
