Check Engine Light
2 weeks ago we had our car's starter replaced, 97 Sentra GXE. The check engine light came on a couple of weeks before that. The work was done by a small independently owned mechanics shop. They dont even have the computer type machine to check what the problem is. Anyway, starter was replaced and the car has been running just fine since then. Is there a way to manually turn off the check engine light?
Thanks in Advance,
Rose

the hardest part to resetting the ecu would be accessing the damn ecu which is located behind the dash in the center console on the floor...its covered by a black plastic box.
