Question Serious Newbie Wanting More Horsepower

I have a '96 Sentra (automatic) and I really want to add more horsepower to get some more pick-up. It's all stock right now and I have no clue where to even start. It has OK low-end speed (i definitely want better) and has OK high-end speed (want that better too). If anyone can tell me where I can start or any good websites I can look on that'd be great.
Thanks,
Sarah

and dont even waste time with Bolt on garbage.. Intake/Headers/exhaust is a meer upgrade.. that is honestly barely noticable.. The HS turbo kit is well worth the money spent. Great work
