I have a stock 1.6L Sentra GA16DE...
Only things I got are New Exhaust/ Muffler, and a Short-Ram Intake.
I noticed that alot of people are parting off their SE-R's and such,
does anyone have any suggestions on what I could get from a SE-R
or just the next thing I should get for my car to increase performance?
I know about spraying it.. I was gonna get a 50 shot.. but isnt there anything else? CAMS? Cam Gears?
MAN!!! That question will open a HUGE can of worms here. Before anyone tells you to SEARCH, try going to www.sentra.net and check out Mike Kojima's garage. EXCELLENT little section he has there. Then stop by www.nissanperformancemag.com and check out the 200sx 1.6T....Mike Young has done a TON to his 1.6....if that ain't enough, research WES' posts. He has the fastest 1.6 200sx in the country (249.5 HP)....
other than that, enjoy the forum and read, read, read.

I got another option for ya. If you know someone who is parting out an SE-R...get the whole damn motor and tranny. I have a GA16DE and wish i could have done a swap by now. I know the little motor has protential but you will be much happier with a SR20DE with a few bolt ons.

^or he could spend the few grand he is gonna spend swapping the motor, tranny, axles, ecu, harness and some boltons and get a turbo for the ga16 and be even happier than an sr20de with bolt ons

My Sentra is basically all stock.. or rather it IS all stock, lol.
I see alot of SE-R's being parted out and Im not sure what is
better on the SE-R than the Non-SE-R sentra... if you guys
could give me a rundown of what I could get from an SE-R
I would greatly appeciate it... Im not looking to make a 12sec car here,
just something that can get up and go :-)
Just keep the GA16DE and enhance it..though the SR20DE engine has it a little easier getting parts and everything, in the end youll get more respected for building up the GA16 motor.
Yea the SE-R motor is more powerful but in my opinion Id rather spend my money slappin a turbo in my bitch later on rather then spending all that money on a whole different motor and taking the easy way out.
i think he wants to know what parts are interchangable, and pretty much its just body parts, like rims and sideskirt, we aren't honda motors or small block 350's, so nothing is interchange.... dont waste your time with a motor swap, its cost to much and its not worth it..

I just got my Intake on today, and I can feel a small difference... it doesnt lag as much when im getting off the line :-)
Umm, my coilovers come in wednesday, and Im thinking about getting new Forged pistons so I can get a Zex Nitrous kit... Also should I get new cams or just cam gears?
forgive me for stealing the thread, but i know they make bore kits for the sr20, does anyone know of any for the GA? i know it would almost be pointless b/c with the money spent on that, you could buy a sr20, but i think it would be cool to have a ga18.

they dont make cam gears for our car... they are cam sprockets and there is no aftermarket ones.. our car can hold about a 55wet shto with stock internals.. but why spend all teh money you would spend on cams and nitrous.. and get turbo...

So are you saying.. instead of getting cams (which I can't because as you have just informed me, they dont make cams and any cam sprockets are just stock anyway...) Instead of getting spray and cams I should get a turbo?
What kind of turbo should I get? I know hotshot makes a good one... BUT.. thats expensive.. Im looking not to spend that much.. they run what.. 3300? ouch thats a burn in my pocket lol... so I could get pistons and new rods and maybe springs and retainers.. and uhh bore out the block to make it a 1.8? I dunno... Right now im not sure whether I should take the motor/nitrous way... or save up for a turbo I know im a noobert, but please help me out with this last question :-) Thanks!
you can get Cams, JWT makes an awesome set of cams, but you will be running stock cam sprockets which is ok, they run about $560... then spray with the warmer bottle and purge valve runs around 600-700.. and you will need the to get the JWT ecu to run the cams properly which will also increase your Rev limit. they runs 600 for the first reprogramming, 100 there after.... so you are spending a close to 1700... you will want the hotshot kit if you turbo, unless you customize your own and then that will run around 2500+... but why would you want to bored the motor out, do internals and retaineers and everything, that will run you a few 1000 itself... just get rid of the plans and get the turbo kit first..

If your thinking nitrous check www.customenterprises.com. They sell a cryogenics kit that uses CO2 rather than NO2. I'm not sure of how it adds up to nitrous but atleast you don't have to worry about getting pulled over for it.
