Help w/ unknown problem
I found some threads that were somewhat similar but still a bit unsure.
A couple of days ago my e-brake, check engine & airbag lights came on out of nowhere and stayed on. Yesterday while driving, my stereo started turning off & on and I'd lose power for a moment. I recently moved my battery to the trunk, & the negative wasn't soldered on very good so I thought that was it. I'd stop & "fix it" then it would start up fine & go. A little later it suddenly lost power & started sputtering, then just quit. Then just click click click. Voltmeter showed dead, so I jumped it, and it started up & kept running, votmeter still shows dead. I've got the blue top optima, so is the alternator gone, and it's just running off the battery? Can I pull it out & take down to the parts store to verify? I just replaced the belts with UUP too, not sure what else might be going on.
Sorry for such a long question, but I'm really unsure when it comes to electrical issues. 110,000 miles & this is the first problem, so guess I shouldn't be complaining.
