Help with interior lights

Hey guys,im new here,i just bought my 95 200sx ser this week! I am lovin it,except for the fact that sometimes my interior(gauge and night radio lights) go out and i dont know if im speeding or not. The fuse looks okay. Any suggestions on what to check out? my outside lights do come on and stay on just fine by the way.! Thanks in advance.

Did you replace the fuse just to be positive? If not maybe wiring?...that's never fun. Maybe one is loose or fried?

Also do your interior guages just go completely out or dim badley and do any other lights dim whatsoever when this happens?

it's a common problem, having to do with the dimmer switch. do a search with "dimmer switch" to find out more helpful information. Either that or every time the interior lights go out just tap the dimmer switch.

The tail lights, parking lights, and interior lights are all on the same fuse. Each headlight has it's own fuse. Therefore you will not notice the headlights doing anything when your interior lights go out.

If the tail lights and corners are going out with the interior lights, then your fuse is prolly loose or something (10A fuse by the battery)

If the tail lights and corners are fine. It's your dimmer switch. Make sure the dimmer switch is plugged in ok. You'll prolly need a new one. Search the classifieds, a new one from nissan is hella expensive.

dimmer problem

I've run into this problem on my 98 GXE, it is a problem with the dimmer wheel. this doesn't mean that it needs replacement, it is a common problem among b14s. just tap or adjust the dimmer wheel when your interior light dim or go out.
