Getting spark. Can hear fuel pump run. When starting after about 30 seconds the engine begins to stumble like it wants to start. The car sat for about 3 weeks while I did the body work. Ran fine before, but did this once before, and after about a minute to a minute and a half of the engine turning over it started and ran fine til now. Any sugestions???? Any help??? Anybody their???
Got it started today. Let the battery charge for 3hr. Didn't want to run it down. Peddle to the floor I let the engine turn over for about 3min. then foot off the peddle cranked it over for about another 1 to 2min and finally started. Let it run for about half hour to 45min, starts ok now. What could be going on??? Fuel pump?? Pressure regulater??? Things to check??? Anyone??? I checked for any codes(service engine soon) but their arn't any and I don't get a service engine soon light. I have a code reader but no codes so it can't be a sensor that's why this weekend I am going to check the fuel pump pressure and fuel pressure regulator as instructed in the hanes manual. I'll keep you posted. Also the car has a remote starter and I am wondering if this could have something to do with it???

Reason: Going to check something this weekend
My in-laws 97 sentra does the same thing and has for a couple years now. I would be interested in finding out what causes this as well. I have heard that it could be the coolant sensor, but not really sure if this is true or not. Keep me posted!
How's the battery charge? Ignition coil? plugs? wires? Just throwing things out. . . I had a starting problem, but totally unlike yours. Turned out my alarm system was cutting out the starter for some unknown reason.

common problem, mostly happens when the car has been sitting for a while, like a couple days. Replace the head temp sensor, it takes care of it 95% of the time. If you dont get it fixed, try this next time you start it.
give it 1/4 throttle and just keep it there when you start it, it should only take about 10-20 sec instead of minutes flooring it.
