I really want to reapholster the cloth parts of my door panels (97 Sentra).. how do I get them out of the car? And I know that's prob a dumb question but I can't figure it out...I tried prying with a screwdriver and realized that wasnt right.
If they are anything like the 200 SX panels there is one screw in where you grab the door to close it...there are a few on the side that shuts in if that makes any sense and then I think you just have to carefully pry it off.
yea...nows a good time to go ahead and get a service manual...i got it right when i started modding my car and its been my best friend ever since...(due to a very poor social life) hahahah
THE FSM WILL GIVE VERY good detailed instructions on the door assembly as well

if you want to do the cloth areas on your doors the easiest thing to do is to buy the material you want to use, then go to auto zone or someplace like that and buy a spray glue, measure out your piece of material to the cloth on door and cut it out with about an extra inch all the way around. Spray the glue on the back side of the new material and the cloth still in the door panel, lay the new material on the door panel as even as possible, press down on material to even out any wrinkles, now here is the part that is a pain, using the end of a spoon or a flat rounded object(nothing sharp or it will cut material)tuck the new material into the door,it may take some time and a little elbow grease but after your done it will look good and you wouldn't have sacraficed any of the padding that was already in the door. I did this on all 4 doors and headliner of my 98 sentra se, that was about a year and a half ago and i still haven't had any problems with it,ill try to post some pics for you so you can see what the end result looks like.
