Question Engine swap

I have a B14 sentra and my friend has a b15 se-r spec v that he totaled but the engine and 6 speed transmission is still good. Is it worth it to put it in my car and will the engine and trans fit. Please let me know.

you would be better off getting a det, doing a qr25de swap would be really expensive

All you need is duct tape and a screw driver.

What do you think the difficulty is?

Yeah man.. that would take alot of work to put that engine in your 200 . But you could always sell the engine and tranny and swap a DET motor into your car!

Any swap is possible as long as you have a big enough hammer and some ability. I would like to find another wrecked 200sx and swap a V8 and rear wheel drive it. This would be a funny swap. As for the spec v I would dis it and swap a sr20det. Alot easier and mor power. Good luck with whatever you may decide.

the motor and tranny are the least of his worries..he needs to worry about axles, ecu, wiring harnesses, mounts, and all the spec v parts like power steering pump, and pretty much any other thing under the hood...ide think of it as the sr20 swap in the 1.6 chassis, only alot harder

that and the reliability of the qr sucks.

so many kids think its the greatest engine................................

an aussie fellow wants to swap one in his car, they're not sold there. I don't think it's a good idea for him, cuz when it breaks, it's gonna sit a while till he gets parts.

yea...ive never really been impressed with them...the DET seems to be a better choice, due to more aftermarket product support and KNOW HOW
