Cutting rear bumper on a 98

I wanna put another exhaust cutout on the back bumper of my 98 se-r. I dont care about the performance issue. I wanna know what will do the job the cleanest and easiest. What works? Any HELPFUL info is appreciated!

I used a small metal cutting blade on a sawzall and sanded it down with some 80 grit and finished it off with some 240 grit. Looks factory.

I did not cut the rear bumper I cut the front for my intercooler. Same material though.

Some B14 rear bumpers came OEM with 2 cut outs.
I would go that route.

I'm sure a Rotozip/sawzall would do the job though.

Does anyone know what the little black box located behind the rear bummper, on the drivers side is? Im worried it might get in the way of my dual exhaust. Can I take it out? I noticed the box isnt on 95-97 model se-r's. What the hell is that thing?

So can I remove the thing? Why dont the earlier models have it? Will it affect emissions? Also, would it be bad to have an exhuast pipe runnin through there? Im not putting dual fart cans on my car, just pipes with nice tips.
