Odd rear wheel tread loss

Ok so I'm at my new job now, and I drive about a 65 mile drive round trip and I drive it 6 days a week. Lately I've noticed that the tread on my off-brand tires is wearing out really badly on the back left side mostly, its also very bad on the back right, but the left is the worse...all the tread is bald on the outside of the wheel...almost as if it has REALLY bad posotive camber, but I cant really tell how the camber is on the rear...looks fine to my naked eye. Anyways I went ahead and got them rotated, and with my check i'm getting in 2 weeks I'm going to buy some good tires (the ones I have now came with my rotas) Can anyone reccomend some really good long lasting tires? And does anyone know what the problem might be?

thanx.

How long have you had your rear struts? you might need new ones, if they are good, it's most likely you need an alignment, the B14 rear doesn't really have a bad camber problem because of our beam setup. Next time you drive roll your windows up, and turn down the music, listen for a whopping sound in the rear. I had this problem when I first got my 200.

any tire wear issues, always check the alignment, tire pressures, and in some worse cases, dragging brakes.

it's kinda rare for dragging brakes, like i said, worse case, but if it does, the brake shoes and hardware don't disengage fast enough, and the wear on the shoes are really fast compared to the other side, but like i said, that's worse case.

i'm going to say check the rear struts also, also check the wear again, look to see if it is a little choppy, uneven tread wear will indicate a strut problem. don't put new tires on until you figure out why the old ones wore improperly.

Yokohama AVS ES100's; I've had them for about a
month and love them. They're not the longest lasting,
but are nice and quiet and have good grip.
Or Bridgestone Potenza RE750's. They have a
360 treadwear rating, (Yokohama's 280); however,
I read a Tirerack comparison test that said wear was
similar between the two, and their individual ratings
may be missleading?
Always get an alignment with new tires. But aren't the
rear wheels unadjustable?

found the problem about 2 weeks ago, i forgot about this post and just want to update incase someone has this problem in the future and does a search or something...anyways yea, my rear axle was bent to hell and back, but i got a whole new assembly with brakes and lines and e brake cables and everything perfectly straight from a 98 for $150 from a junkyard and my friends and I changed it all in about 2 hours. It actually rides a whole hell of alot better now, especially on the freeway...it doesnt wobble like crazy and seem to veer back and forth, and i've had my new tires (Dunlop Sp Sport FM901's 195/55/15) for about 2 weeks now and there are no signs of odd tread loss, so its all good now.

Yes, it did suck some major ass, not just ride quality either, but every time I looked at my car since the front has slight negative camber and the back *had* posotive rear camber...the different camber contrasted so much and it just looked horrible at certain angles.
