Angry clutch noise

Heres one I couldn't find doing a search. My clutch makes a strange grinding noise, but only in the last inch or so before the floor. It doesn't bother me too much because I can change gears and everything just fine without pushing the clutch in that far, but I would still like to have an idea of what could be causing it. Any ideas?

Thanks

Is it a grinding or creaking noise? If it's creaking, there's a very good chance it's the cable (which just needs to be greased up).

Nope its a grinding noise more or less and it changes sounds with the engine. Rev it up a bit and the noise goes with it, faster grinding noise if that makes any sense.

I would say it is the throwout bearing. That's what mine sounded like. I changed out the clutch and the throwout bearing and now it is quiet as can be.

First inspect the cable for proper adjustment and make sure it has the proper amount of freeplay.

It does sound like the TOB, but if it changes with the RPM's it could be something else.

i agree that it can be your throw out bearing....check ur clutch cable and make sure that it isnt adjusted at the tightest setting...your bearing can easily be worn out if its tightened all the way
