I was on e-bay the other day and i saw a sr20ve for sale and i hear they're about 190HP. It was about the same price as a sr20det which is about 200 or so i belive. Can you make a sr20vet? has anyone? how much would something like that cost to put together? how many horses w/ 7-8 pounds of boost?

it can be done but finding that motor can be a major pain... if you can find one and it is also very expensive. that is because the sr20vet only comes on japans Nissan Xtrail. all other xtrails have a dif motor.the problem is the xtrails are still relatively new so not too many have been junked or destroyed in acciedents with motors to send to the us. but it would be nice to have. ifyou wanna go with VE just stick with NA and put in turbo cams and upgrade from there.
