AD22VF brake conversion, HELP please !!

I need some help on this brake conversion, please guys ~

Now I am thinking of buying this AD22VF brake kit, and move my OEM front disc to replace my rear drum. Is moving the disc possible ?? Or have any of you done this before .....

One more question, should I also upgrade master cylinder as well for best performance ?? If so, which one is recommended, like NX2000 or B14 SE-R ???

Thanks for your help .... and enjoy your day !!

No, you can't move the front brakes to the rear..and you don't have to upgrade the master cylinder if you upgrade the fronts to AD22VFs

This should help a little.... NO SMC anymore, but you can use Powerslot or stock NX rotors.. http://www.nissanperformancemag.com/...01/brake.shtml

Thanks, myoung & Holly200SX, for your advice

Can't move my front brakes to rear ... that's really a bad news for me cause I just had my new rotors & pads less than 1 year ago.

Just two more questions :
(1) Would I need new mater cylinder if I get both NX frong & rear brakes ?

(2) As Holly200SX mentioned, I would need some SS lines, but where can I get those, and how much ??

Your advice is really important to me. Honestly, I wanna get these big brakes, and paint the calipers red, just to scare Civics. LOL ~

Thanks agian !

3 answers for ya

on ebay, i see russel stainless steel lines every now and then. i have them, and they havent failed on me yet

2-No, a new master cylendar is not necissary, the altima, and 200sx's master cylandar is the same part #, you will just have to asjust the cylandar

3-.. scare off civics?.. thats no problem already.. and.. they arent necissarily big brakes.. they are bigger than stock breaks, but they are more a stock nessecity.

I was looking to get SS lines, as I did the AD22VF upgrade a few weeks back.
I saw the price from www.lightningmotorsports.com posted, I also emailed Mossy Nissan and asked them about SS lines. They have the whole set (front and back) for $120 made by Crown Performance. Shipping is extra I believe.

I was wondering if anyone has heard anything about this brand. I know Mossy is know for carry good products, but I was just wondering if anyone could give me some feedback.

hey michael..the AD22VF is def the best upgrade for the money out there. but, if ur gonna swap out the rear drums as well, u need either a conversion bracket or an SE-R rear beam axle. I only kno off fastbrakes (idk if mossy is also supplying rear drum to disc conversion kits) that makes the conversion kit for the rear. The 9" rear kit is ~$245 (minus shipping costs), and ud still need the pads, SE-R calipers, and parking brake cables. OEM front rotors cant go in the bak cuz first, they're ventilated where as rears r solid, and second, ur front OEM calipers arent designed to work in the rear (dun dink dey hav fittings for the parking brake cable).

if u swap out the MC to say an Altima MC, ull hav a better brake feel (well, IMO) than our spongy 1.6 brakes and u wont have so much brake bias in the front. Correct me if im wrong...our car's braking bias is ~70%-80% in the front since we got drums in the bak which really dont do a whole lot. So if u swap out the rear drums to discs, the rears are still not gonna be doin a whole much neway. But if u swap out the MC, ull have a more even braking balance. It is not required, but it is recommended if u do the fronts & backs in discs.

u can also go with the fastbrakes 11" kit in the front, but those r much more expensive than the AD22VF. it comes w/ everything tho...wilwood 4piston calipers, pads, ss cables, 11" rotors, etc... now those r sum big brakes..
