what all is needed

Hi, i'm new to the forums and i just got my 200sx se-r. all ive got in it is the JWT pop charger. (didint want to go with some sort of cheap filter). ive looked through a lot of things on nissanperformancemag.com and stuff like that, but the sr20det stuff is confusing.

my friend drove my car and all of a sudden wanted to give me his old turbo (from 95' eagle talon tsi). anyways i dont think i want it since i'd need manifold, new exhaust, ecu, and all that stuff.

now for the question i have a 95' 200sx se-r. ive read the BB sr20det engine is a good bet, but what else would i need? (for a guy with a low budget).

JWT ecu? Exhaust? headers? etc. basically i just want to know what parts i'd need if i got one. i saw the jgycustoms.com page and i need a basic idea of how much money it'd cost.

forgive me im still a nissan n00b

if you get a det and already sport the sr20 motor... then al you have to do is get the engine and a tuned ecu... now if you can get a hold of an ecu from a det, you're set.... all you gotta do is drop it in... you can use your stock trans and and wiring harness... just get the det motor and have your ecu reprogrammed...

It all depends on the model of turbo you have. There are 2 transverse Sr20DEt's from the factory, the Bluebird and the Sunny GTiR.The BB uses a t25 and the GTiR has a T28.If the turbo you have will bolt to either one of these manifolds, then your job is a little easier. You would still need to get a proper downpipe(GTiR may work),large enough exhaust, and proper fuel and spark management.this will mean either 1 or a combination of the following:MSD 6BTM to adjust timing relative to boost, a FMU, larger injectors or a reprogrammed ECU.Plus you still need the appropriate tubing to connect it all.An intercooler is optional, but recommended as is a blow off valve and external wastegate.Hope this helps point you in the right direction!
