Exclamation Please Help!!

Okay, so I'm pretty much ready to lift the engine out of my 96 Sentra GXE automatic, but I've run into a slight hindrance.......

Regarding the flexplate to tq converter bolts (through the starter hole), they're damn near inaccessible. I don't have one of the dust covers to remove them through, so it kind of looks like I'll have to move the plate between the engine/trans to get at them , but I'm not even sure that's possible with the presence of guide pins, etc. Anyone have any tips on how to get at these? Thanks in advance.
allen

PS...I apologize for spelling/punctuation errors, 2 fingers are bandaged as there's about 1/2" of skin on the side of the cylinder head right now.
