There are quite a few lightweight, yet reasonable choices out there. Check out Velox's progear line-up. Axis VPD's also come to mind. Some of the Rota rims also come to mind. Then there are a few pricier ones also, but in the end you do get what you pay for.

diggin' somethin' from the past, but i'm looking for some light 15's for a b14, i recently checked tirerack and now notice that they don't show the weight of a certain wheel. i looked at discount tire and found some jax 15's for 12.3lbs and for 144 each. still looking, please help. TIA
I've had both of those, (still have the RH's), and the Volk's
were one pound lighter, +/- some ounces; could've been
the different tires and their respective weights screwing
up the scales?
Anyway, I've wanted these for my Nissan since they first came
out: http://www.enkei.com/HPSpecPAGES/rpf1Specs.html Modacar's got them for $225.00, which is about $100.00
cheaper than RH/Volk's per wheel, with a respectable weight.
But Rota's good, too, and +$200.00 bucks cheaper, +/-. The
slipstreams are $112.00 a wheel, I think.

yo, i'm doing some massive wheel research of my own for months now.
don't get the helium's cus they don't come in 16's. ADR is coming out with that size and model, renamed "burnout" real soon. i'll look into those.
lightweight 16's are DIFFICULT to find for the budget minded. believe me i've looked.
forget about 15" VPD's, they stopped makin' em. if you like the AXIS maglite design, those are not bad price wise and are 11.5 lbs. unique.
do NOT get ROTA attacks, 15 or 17's. recalled by manufacturer for breaks and cracking . shops should've pulled em all off the shelves by now.
what size tires you planning to go? consider their weight as well.
wheelspec website is useful, but here are a few more:
i'm going for 16's also. i have stock 15 se-r rims (17 lbs ea.) with toyo proxes 195/55/15's. the weight of each of these tires is 16.5 lbs. that means if i want to go to 205/45/16 tires, which weight 18.1 lbs, and don't want to go heavier than my current setup, my 16x7 wheel should be no heavier than 15.4 lbs. get it?:
current plans for 16's: ADR burnouts, Rota C-10's, 5Zigen FN01RC.

wheel and tire packages are the way to go. but if you have 15"tires and are looking for 15" wheels, you might as well just get the wheels and wait till your tires wear out before getting new ones. i love my toyo proxes.
