your foglights are H3's, i'm not sure why you'd want to do an H4 conversion??? your headlights are a 9004 which can be converted to an H4. the only reason this conversion is necessary is when you buy new headlight housings and they don't accept the 9004 bulb, and to do the conversion, you need a conversion harness, which isn't hard to find (usually found in your local autoparts store) hope this helps.

does this apply to projector headlights???
and also, i found a kit for a 9007 hid conversion, but will lose the high beams, what do most aftermarket headlights require for bulbs anyway????

well if you're talking about these headlights i believe the H4 conversion is still necessary because from the looks of it these lights are made from the same company that makes the normal clear headlights. It just depends, different aftermarket housings accept different bulbs. i don't believe there is an advantage of one over the other. Look at PIAA, the "xtreme white" are available in all sizes H4 , 9004, 9006, etc.

yes the piaa's are pretty expensive, but they stand behind their warranty that their headlights won't burn/melt your housings or harnesses. A lot of people compare the Piaa's to the Sylvania Silverstar bulbs. I personally haven't had any experience with the Sylvania's but i do know the Piaa's kick ass. i bought a set of lights at the Carlisle show "Euro Dezigns" they aren't blue tinted, but they are bright bright white, i love them especially in my clear housings. i also bought foglights (H3's) from them so that i have the same color for both headlights and fogs. except my fog bulbs are now 100w instead of 35w. i'm sure over time i'll pay for making that decision lol
