Clear coat coming off

has anybody else had the clear coat come off in places on their B14? does anyone know if its possible to fix it myself and if i can how. If it has to be done by a bodyshop about how much would it cost. right now i'm just trying to keep it well waxed to stop it from spreading.

I had mine starting to peel last year near the chrome window trim. Not sure why it started since my car is in great shape. I got into an accident in Dec and they had to repaint that whole side of the car so I didnt have to worrry about getting it fixed.

it will have to be professionally touched up, unless you know how to paint yourself.

Very surprising... my B14 has the best paint of any car I ever owned. The car has been outside for its entire life and the paint looks like a million bucks.

my clear coat was gone on my stock front bumper...so far gone that it was pointless to wash the bumper bc the bugs and dirt would just work into the paint rather than come off. its happening on the center plastic piece on my trunk too

Only real solution is to strip it and repaint it.Waxing won't slow it's spread either since it is a problem with the clear not bonding to the basecoat.
