question about aftermarket headers

I was under the impression that my cat. converter was welded onto my stock header, but when I took the heat sheald off I found out it wasnt, then I looked under the car and there it was, so now, im deciding I want to get an aftermarket header (cuz now I dont have to go thru the trouble of finding another cat converter) I was wondering if anyones had experience with the pacesetter header for the 95-98 200sx (mines a 96 base model) does anyone know if this header is crap? also I was wondering if on any aftermarket headers (such as hotshot which I SHOULD buy I know but its way to pricey for me now) have a spot to put my O2 sensor like the stock one does, I MUST pass emmissions, my G20 NEVER passed so I had to move to columbus for 6 months because they dont require emmissions testing like atlanta does.

anyways any help would be muchly apreciated and sorry for the long post!

thanx!

Spend the money and buy a real header. You wont regret it. I have a Hotshot and have passed emissions for 4 years. Pace setter I don't trust at all.

hotshot will be my best bet then, I'll just save up, shouldnt take too long seeing as how I got rims out the way now (my friend sold me some rotas) so I guess I will get the Hotshot. Does the hotshot headers have the spot for the 02 sensor or do u have to put it somewere else?

thanx!

This comes up all the time, do a search on pacesetter and you will see a lot of people talking shit about a product they don't know, and then you will find people like me that have been running the header with no problems and one guy has dynoed his with all the bolt ons minus cams and got 150whp.

A pacesetter is great bang for the buck, if you want to view a dyno chart im sure someone can put it up and show that you are paying $200 for about 2-3hp difference

YMMV

The reason you dont have the cat/header combo in your car, is because its the federal emissions model. The cali emissions models have the two cats.
