wiring problem

Does anyone know how to wire neon lights to an alarm? I have a neon under car kit plus it's on a toggle switch right now. I also have a viper 850 esp. The alarm has 4 buttons on it and the 4th button isn't assign to anything. I want to wire the neon so I could press the 4th button and turn on the neons.

You would have to refer to the alarm manual and find the output for that particular button on the alarm module. Then you would probably want to use a relay, controlled by the module output to run your stuff...

WOW!! Lol...anyways...you say you want to hook up the 4th button to activate the neons under the car..That is some creative thinking man.

Damn...if I was there, I would do that thing for you...Ok...
If you are really really really intrested in doing this then let me know...E-mail me at UNISH25@yahoo.com.

I will need schematics of your alarm, model number, and serial number, company that made it etc.... Scan it and e-mail it to me or post it over here..I will need every circuit schematic they gave you.
You have to find out which wire on the alarm system the 4th button activates first by looking at the circuit schematic of the alarm.

It's really easy to do. I have the Viper800ESP on my car and I can turn just about everything on my car on through the remote (radio, neons, strobes, etc, etc, etc.). First what you will want to do is find the wire that corresponds to whatever channel you want it hooked up to (I tried to find the manual for the Viper 850HV on DEI's website...but it's too new and not on there yet). Anyway, once you find that wire (which will be a negative output), you must change the negative output to a positive output. To do this you will need a relay. What you will want to do is to take the negative output and run it to terminal #85 on the relay. Run a fused 12 volt constant to terminals 86 and 87. Then terminal # 30 is now a positive output. Run a wire from terminal # 30 to the switch controlling the neons (run it to the side that does not have 12 volts constant of course...you want to attach it to the side that only gets 12 volts when the switch is thrown. Now whenever you activate the channel on your remote, your neons will light up. I would post a diagram to help you out more, but for some odd reason I cannot post attachments (anyone know why?). That just about does it, but let me know if you have any more questions.

bad model number

SentraStyleEMW,

I made a mistake of saying it was the viper 850esp but it's a 800esp. Exactly like yours. I just haven't had time to post on the board recently. I'm getting my cuz to help me out but from what you explain it sounds pretty easy.

If you could please e-mail me the diagram of what you did. that would help me out more. I downloaded the installation guide to the 800esp so that may help to locate the wire too.

my e-mail: paibogchow@yahoo.com

Thanks again.

Which wire did you hook up to the relay? It should be the Purple/Black wire on the auxillary output harness (H3/3). If that is the wire that you used, you might just have to go into the receiver learn routine and reprogram the remote. I had to reprogram mine as well before it would work.
