2.5-3 inch Exhaust

Ok im planning on doing a sr20det swap into a 200sx se-r. My question is will i need to find a bigger exhaust if Im planning on running higher boost? And if so where do i get one? Also what do i do about the ECU do I use the 200sx one or the one that comes with the new motor? And Do i need to have it reprogrammed? Im new to this messageboard, and i did do a search on it for this, but couldnt find anything. So dont reply to this thread if you are going to snap on me.

go with a 3' downpipe and the best diameter of exhaust piping for turbo applications is 80mm

oh and yes you have to use a usdm sr20de ecu, axles, mafs, wiring harness, and some other miscellaneous things... you will also have to have the ecu sent to Jim Wolf Technology so they can reprogram it... if you use a gti-r motor then you will also have to rewire the injector plugs to work with the us ecu

oh sorry about the last post with all the crap about axles and what not...i forgot that you had said you had a 200sx se-r... one question that comes to my mind though is why dont you just turbocharge your sr20de, realistically for a daily driver you need no more than 400hp (lack of driveability after)... and it would be far more economical to add on to what you have... really the only main advantages the jdm sr20det has over the us sr20de is that it comes with oil squirters and is factory turbocharged... i think the best thing for you to do is add to the potent engine you already have

Well im buying a 200sx se-r with a blown motor, but the guy said he already had a stock replacement for it. So maybe what i will do is drop that motor in and turbo it. What is the max psi the stock one can handle? Also where can i get a 80mm exhaust?
