Unhappy rear defroster clip problem

I was cleaning my rear window the other week and it was cold out. I accedentially knocked the rear defroster clip off the window. The whole clip is fully intact. I was just wondering if there was any way I could fix it. Thanks..

I have the same problem, whole clip hanging there. I'm thinking I can solder it back on. I'll let you know when I try it.

This has happened to me twice. I had the dealer do it since I didn't want to screw up the entire defroster system and my rear window (its takes alot of voltage to defrost a window that quickly). The dealer does it in a few minutes for under $25 US (I think, they charged me very little in CAD, but dealers are less expensive up here anyway).

Do you know of any way on how to fix it. I dont think you can solder it on because of shattering the glass. Let me know if anyone knows what I should use to fix this little problem. Thanks.

No,
You do solder it back on. THere is a small tab that comes out of the window. You solder the defroster to that, not the window itself.
