AIT relocation point after installing intake?

Okay, I put my intake in a few weeks back. I left the stock tube and just added a cone filter, which helped alot. I relocated the AIT sensor to a grimate in the fender well, and all was cool. Few weeks go by and my check engine light comes on. I go to the zone and they tell me that the AIT sensor was bad. So I go to the dealership to get one, install it, and check engine light stayed on so I took it back and then put my old one back in and the next day my light went off. Then yesterday it came back on, I go back to the zone and they tell me bad AIT circuitry and random cylinder mis-fire. So the guy looks at my intake and asked where I relocated the AIT sensor, and I told him, and he tells me to put it in the cone by drillin ga hole in the end of my filter. The sensor won't even reach there, so what do I do? Where did you guys relocate it?

Thx

ok, since it's short ram, I suggest you drill a hole in the ram tube and place the temp sensor in there. You can extend the wiring with no prob.

i tried alot of things and if u search this topic it up some where. i went to alot of places and they told me the same bull crap. what worked for me and i know sounds kind of odd is i just got a rubber hose and i taped it to the sensor and i just let it hang in the little hole by the battery where the stock box tube use to go and in about like 3 days the light went away its worked for me and other members of this fourm who have done the same good luck
