You see how that has a gasket for the maf adapter. My hotshot didn't come with one.. should I make one?

You dont really need one. But I would make one, just to calm my mind about it. The minimal amounts of air seepage would be so minute, you would really be able to tell the difference.

gasket

I recently installed an AEM CAI and it didn't come with a gasket either - the gasket is OEM and should already be in place. It should be in a circular cutout in the metal on the MAF.

If you need another gasket, it shouldn't be too hard to make something. The OEM gasket is simply an o-ring with a square profile - if you were to cut it, its cross-section is a square. For peace of mind, you can do several things: go down to Ace hardware and look through their assortment of O-rings (they sell em pretty big), or rubber sheets. The rubber sheets can be cut out and placed between the adapter and MAF. foam weatherstripping would work too, but might be a bitch to remove if the need comes up. Good luck.
