I'm looking at a used 95 Sentra XE to buy. But the radio has been stolen; there is a big hole just under the climate controls. Only wiring visible are two white connections, I see nothing else. What else was there, other than the radio; that's an awfully big hole.
How difficult would it be to find the trim that went with the radio -- like would every 95 Sentra model have the same trim?
its the radio and the tray hole... thats why it looks so big. if u need the stock radio... ill sell u mine. let me know. as for the tray, your best bet would be a junkyard or the dealer.
I didn't buy it; still waiting to see if she will accept my offer. CV joint boots ripped, radio and trim gone; trans fluid brownish, oil leaking from valve cover; PS reservoir leaking, etc, etc.
Told her I gotta have a good deal to be interested -- I get problems for free, I don't need to buy'em.
So I may be looking if I get it.
I take it all Sentras of this vintage could be source of parts. Nothing special about an XE right?

how much is she asking for the car?.. thats a load of problems.
I figure that if I can get it at 1800 I will still be OK even if I have to replace engine and/or trans; which I can do myself.
But 1800 is as high as I'll go. It'll be an extra car, so I don't really NEED it.
If I get it (or similar) intent is for me to park my pickup for a while or (more likely) my wife can park her Grand Caravan. She works in a hospital and wants something smaller and easier to park. With my last two in college, we really don't do the soccer, lacrosse, field hockey, scene any more -- but they come and go twice a year.
If it needed either of the major drivetrain items, it's not worth buying-especially for an XE.$1800 would be too much for a fixer upper Sentra.I paid $350 for my wrecked 95 Sentra GXE with 68k on it.In my opinion, a trashed B14 Sentra is worth maybe $1000 at most because you can get a good one for only like $3,000-$4,000.At this price point, repairing a bad one will cost you almost as much as buying a good one in the first place(when you add in the initial cost of the car)

yea, plus its a ga16 not powerful so if youre buying it for regular price then havin to repair problems is not good, but a nissan is a nissan.....do what u like, its YOUR money
My Pioneer Cd player was ripped outta my car a few months back... it sucked! The pricks attempted to use a screwdriver and divoted the dash, trim bezel, scratched up the dash, cracked my HVAC housing and took the radio/ash tray trim with it! Im still riding around without that piece tryin to figure where the cheapest place to get a replacement... how much would the Nissan dealer charge for that piece? anyone know of someone whos parting one out???
Also, when i went to the insurance company they told me that the side pieces around the interior console are a solid piece with the entire dash and to replace them id have to replace the whole entire underside.... is that true or would it be possible to replace just those pieces? i havent checked but i looks like they're separate piece.... someone please help me, im sick of a humped interior!!!!
